Review and Herald Becomes Hub for Children's Ministries

The Review has partnered  with the NAD Children’s Ministries Department to establish the Center for Child Evangelism and Ministry. Based in Hagerstown, the CCEM will serve as a resource center for leaders in children’s ministries and a clearinghouse for new product ideas.

Behind the new entity is the NAD Children’s Ministries director Phyllis Washington. “I want us to get on the same page and pool our resources, and then we can come out with some really great products,” says Phyllis.

While the Review is a leader in children’s ministry, there are still gaps in our lineup. “Customers are looking to non-Adventist products because we don’t make what they need,” says Candy, who has countered this by developing three high-quality Vacation Bible School programs that include an Adventist worldview.

“One of the benefits that I see in this organization is the opportunity to understand and respond to the needs of our people,” says Guide editor Randy Fishell. “If we all work together, maybe we can build a little synergy with the NAD and other publishers.”

The CCEM will be located on the second floor near the Message offices and will include a lending library that includes books and craft supplies.
