Good Financial News From the Review and Herald
Chief Financial Officer Graham Barham addressed employees at a Review and Herald Chapel this morning and said that “I am happy to report that as a house we have made a reasonable profit for 2011.” Indicating that perhaps he was using classic British understatement, he went on to add, “When I say reasonable, it means reasonable.” Employees responded with amens.
The Review and Herald has been operating at a loss for several years. Barham continued by saying “I think we should thank God for his leading, and all the employees for their hard work and commitment.”.Review president Mark Thomas followed up by saying “Without the support of the GC and the Lord’s leading this would not have been possible.”Barham will not release figures before an audit except to say that he expects the profit for 2011 will exceed budgeted projections.
